DES
PLAINES, IL, February 8, 2006—Sheer Wire (formerly
Sheer Sound), the industry leader in home theater and automation wire and
cable products, introduces its newest offering, the 255VT9 series of miniature
HDTV component video cables.
Featuring subminiature 25 gage solid coaxial elements, Sheer Wire's 255VT9 series has a 3GHz bandwidth; a low-loss gas-injected dielectric; and solid copper conductors for lower attenuation and simplified connector termination. The 255VT9 features a flexible and low-friction outer jacket that is easy to strip and install. To facilitate installation in almost any environment, the 255VT9 series is UL Riser-rated Type CMR.
Providing a higher level of performance for residential video applications, Sheer Wire video cables are made using the same precision manufacturing techniques and materials used in professional, studio-grade video coax cables. Every Sheer Wire video cable is built to exacting electrical and mechanical specifications and 100% swept test and verified through comprehensive quality control and testing. This ensures that the video image is transmitted with minimal loss or errors, thereby delivering exceptionally true and clear images.
“Sheer Wire's new 255VT9 series of miniature component video cables provide installers with the bandwidth and precision required for High Definition component video interconnects, without compromising the installation or connector termination process,” stated Scott Fehl, Sheer Wire Director of Marketing. “Not only is the 255VT9 series the best performing miniature component video cable, it is also the easiest to terminate.”
Sheer Wire encompasses a complete line of wire and cable products dedicated to home theater installations; in-wall and outdoor audio speaker runs; high-resolution analog and High Definition digital video; residential prewiring structures (future proofing); touch panel control systems; and lighting power and control.
